When groups of friends and family gather together to have loads of fun – campfires, volleyball, music and laughter.
Spread out over 3 miles along the Saco River, Fiddlehead offers many sandy beach, grassy bench or wooded sites from which to choose.
- Beaches 1,2 and 3 (the largest ones) have a tradition of “party-scene” camping on the weekends – going back decades before Fiddlehead was started over 20 years ago. Today, the scene has mellowed a lot, but we still attract a party crowd on weekends.
- In the last half of July and the first half of August, we provide lively music on Beach 1 with a DJ. Due to the coronavirus, we discourage dancing in front of the DJ; instead “dance in place” at your campsites.
- While the corona virus is in our midst – at least for the 2020 season – we will be spreading our sites out to at least 100 feet of separation from each other, and reserving groups of 10 or less per site Larger groups can choose more than one site and not congregate as long as the “social separation” rules are in place.
- See the map and call us to reserve your site soon. We tend to book up by spring for July and August on weekends.
Our Fiddlehead staff looks forward to seeing you this year.
